The National Assembly (NA) Speaker Qasim Khan Suri has on Wednesday informed that he has tested positive for the novel Coronavirus.
Taking to Twitter, the NA Deputy Speaker said I was not feeling well and felt mild fever indications for the past two or three days. Therefore, my COVID-19 test turns out to be positive.
He further prayed for all those who have so far been fallen prey due to the pandemic.
Qasim Suri also urged everyone to take this third wave of COVID-19 seriously and also asked that the elders must go and get the vaccine shots.

Earlier in the day, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health Dr. Faisal Sultan said that people aged above 60 years are being provided with the vaccine free of cost in the fifteen vaccination centres.
The minister for health has also urged healthcare workers and those to get vaccines to protect themselves and others against the virus.
Pakistan Coronavirus Update
It is pertinent to mention that 43 coronavirus patients have died in the last 24 hours. Moreover, 1,786 new cases have been reported in Pakistan.
On the other hand, the death toll has reached 13,324 whereas the number of positive cases has reached 596,239 so far. Apart from that, 565,216 patients have recovered from the virus and 1,664 are in critical condition.
