Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) President and head of the opposition Shahbaz Sharif has casted his vote in the Senate Elections 2021.

According to the details, Shahbaz Sharif reached Parliament House from Kot Lakhpat Jail to cast his vote in the Senate elections.

Meanwhile talking to media, the former chief minister Punjab said that every member will cast vote according to his conscience.

He said that the Election Commission should make the election process transparent. Members will express their conscience through ballot.

The opposition leader said that the worst performance of the government was in front of the whole world.

It may be recalled that Abdul Hafeez Sheikh of PTI and Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani of PPP are the candidates for the general seat from Islamabad.

Earlier today, other PML-N leaders also hoped for the victory of joint candidate of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) Yousuf Raza Gillani.

Former premier Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that Gillani’s success is 110% certain.

Moreover, the PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal is also optimistic about Gillani’s victory. He termed the ruling party as a victim of anarchy.

Khawaja Saad Rafique also said that the members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) are under severe pressure. “Today could be a major breakthrough,” he said.

It is pertinent to mention here that polling for 37 seats of the Senate is underway under the supervision of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) from Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and Islamabad.
