Pakistan Coronavirus Update: Active Cases toll stands at 17,117

Pakistan has recorded 1,527 recoveries from the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours taking the national tally of recovered patients to 556,769.

According to the national dashboard, more 52 deaths were reported during this period and 1,579 new cases emerged after conducting 37,998 tests.

The current national death toll jumped to 13,128, whereas after new infections the total number of confirmed cases is 587,014. The active cases toll stands at 17,117.

With more than 259,164 positive cases, Sindh remained the Covid-19 epicenter in Pakistan. The province recorded a total of 4,405 deaths.

With 175,051 cases and 5,510 deaths, Covid-19 remained a nightmare for the Punjab province as well for much of the past 12 months.

Balochistan has recorded 19,097 and 200 deaths, AJK reported 10,409 and 308 deaths, 4,957 cases have been reported in Gilgit Baltistan so far with 102 deaths, and Islamabad reported 45,078 infections and 504 casualties, whereas 73,258 cases were reported in KPK with 2,099.
