Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that Pakistan has been playing a role for peace and development in the region and we want to promote peace and harmony with our neighbours.
According to details, Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi while addressing a session of Islamabad Security Dialogue on peace and security in the region said that Pakistan has decided not to be a part of any regional conflict.
The Foreign Minister said that Islamabad appreciates the convening of dialogue, the world seems to be under the influence of a single world power instead of globalization while the science fiction of the past has become a reality today.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi also said that the axis of power in the world is changing while new strategic partnerships are being formed in the world and new and modern tools and technologies are emerging in the world.
Foreign Minister said that cross-border terrorism is being encouraged in Pakistan, the focus of the leadership in the new Pakistan is on economic security.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi also said that CPEC is a project of regional prosperity, we want peace and stability in Afghanistan while we have played a conciliatory role in the Afghan peace process.
Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi further said that a referendum should be held to give Kashmiris the right to self-determination while the United Nations should play its role in giving Kashmiris the right to self-determination in accordance with the resolutions.
