For the first time, Pakistan has purchased the coronavirus vaccine from China on Tuesday.

As per the details, authorities have signed a deal with Chinese company Sinopharm for vaccines.

Pakistan will receive the vaccines from the company in phases. The first batch of vaccine jabs is likely to reach Islamabad today. Frontline health workers and elders will be vaccinated first.

Coronavirus cases in Pakistan

Coronavirus cases are increasing as 2,511 new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours.

On the other hand, 58 patients have died in the last 24 hours.

The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) states that the death toll has reached 13,595 whereas the total number of cases is 609,964.

However, 573,014 patients have recovered so far.
