Emir (chief) of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Siraj-ul-Haq has said that there can never be a political alliance with PPP.
Speaking on Bol News program ‘National Debate’, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami said that underground activities and conspiracies would not be hatched to come to power adding that PPP and PML-N had contacted JI.
Siraj-ul-Haq said that there is a storm of inflation in the country, politicians and bureaucrats are not realizing it, Jamaat-e-Islami wants to end inflation and unemployment.
“We made Khyber Pakhtunkhwa a debt-free province in three years. The 2018 elections were not fair and transparent,” he said.
Siraj-ul-Haq said that we did not support anyone in the Senate election, we also have reservations about the electoral system but the government cannot be overthrown by this.
PDM chose to wash their dirty linen in public, he added.
He said that old masons were building a new Pakistan with Imran Khan adding that they cannot bring any revolution in the life of the poor.
Siraj-ul-Haq said that Jamaat-e-Islami has its own manifesto and ideology. “We will contest the elections under the flag of Jamaat-e-Islami on the symbol of ‘Tarazu’.
During the conversation, Siraj-ul-Haq further said that the country is in a state of chaos at the moment, how can we compete with India in the border and political crisis.
He said that even in Nawaz Sharif’s era the people were suffering, this is a continuous journey of destruction and ruin, there is no difference between Nawaz Sharif and this era.
Emir Jamaat-e-Islami said that we want the system in which NAB will hold across the board accountability.
He further said that 436 names in Panama Lakes have not been called for accountability to date, NAB should also be held accountable.
Siraj-ul-Haq said that Transparency International said that corruption has increased in Pakistan.
He said that NAB was set up to eradicate corruption, political leaders, generals and all should be held accountable.
Emir Jamaat-e-Islami said that Imran, Zardari and Nawaz practised the same style of politics.
Talking about the Kashmir issue, Siraj-ul-Haq said that occupied Kashmir has turned into a graveyard, but our government has extended a hand of friendship to India, the government has forgotten the Kashmir cause.
