General Sheikh Mohammad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa, Commander National Guard and Brother of His Majesty the King of Kingdom of Bahrain calls on Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday (today).

The Prime Minister held a separate meeting with Foreign Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs of Kuwait Dr Ahmed Nasser Al-Sabah in Islamabad.

The premier hopes for the long-standing bilateral ties between Pakistan and Kuwait.

He also lauded the efforts on both sides to build an enhanced partnership and reaffirms deeper economic and trade cooperation.

He also appreciated the two countries working closely to ensure ease of travel and enhancing people-to-people linkages.

However, the Foreign Minister of Kuwait also extended thankfulness to Pakistan for its support and noted that the two countries always stood by each other at difficult times.

Earlier in the day, Foreign Affairs Minister had met FM Shah Mahmood Qureshi during his arrival. The Kuwaiti Foreign Minister also planted a sapling. The two sides also held delegation levels talks.

The Kuwaiti foreign minister has arrived in Pakistan with the invitation of Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi, and also leading a delegation comprising senior officials from the ministries of Foreign Affairs, Health, Interior, and Trade and Industry.

The visit of the Kuwaiti foreign minister comes in the backdrop of the bilateral meeting held with Foreign Minister Qureshi on the sidelines of the 47th Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in Niamey, Niger, in November 2020.
