Special Adviser to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Usman Dar has said that PML-N has made baseless allegations against the establishment in a press conference today.

Usman Dar, while talking on BOL News program ‘Aisay Nahi Chalay Ga’, said that Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz have tried their best to make the institutions controversial, PML-N has also tried its best to discredit NAB.

He said that PML-N can go to any extent to grab power, PML-N cannot survive without power.

PTI leader Usman Dar said that the Establishment was only making phone calls to PML-N, why the Establishment was not making calls to PPP and other parties.

Usman Dar said that PDM tried its best to defame Imran Khan. Haider Ali Gilani’s video got leaked and the PTI will fight a constitutional and legal battle in every way.

The PTI leader said that Sadiq Sanjarani approached everyone to ask for a vote in senate elections.

He further said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will bring real change and he is doing his best to improve the system.

Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz claimed on Thursday that her party’s Senators were being told not to vote for the Pakistan Democratic Movement’s (PDM) candidate.

Taking to Twitter, Maryam Nawaz claimed that PML-N Senators were being called and asked not to vote for Gillani in the upcoming Senate chairman election.

She tweeted, “Our senators are being called and asked not to vote for PDM candidate. Some of them have recorded the evidence,”

Let it be known that the Senate will elect its Chairman and Deputy Chairman through secret ballot after oath-taking of 48 newly elected members of the Upper House of the Parliament in Islamabad on Friday.

As per the Senate Secretariat, the session will meet in the morning for the oath-taking of the newly elected senators after which the session will be adjourned.

Nomination papers for the chairman and deputy chairman will be then submitted. Later the session will resume in the evening to elect the new chairman and deputy chairman of the Upper House.

It merits mentioning here that the Senate elections, which took place on March 3rd, had intensified tensions between the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf Government and the Opposition after PDM’s joint candidate Yousaf Raza Gillani defeated PTI’s Abdul Hafeez Shaikh by taking 169 votes against his opponent’s 164 votes. Six votes were rejected while one was not polled.

Prime Minister Imran Khan, then later addressed the nation and claimed that the Opposition spent money to influence the elections. He also took the Vote of Confidence from Parliamentarians last week.
