Prime Minister Imran Khan receives COVID-19 jab

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday took his dose of vaccine against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

According to the details, Imran Khan got vaccinated against coronavirus.

Today, National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) expressed serious concerns over gross violations of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) against COVID-19 has asked the provincial administrations to ensure swift action for ensuring adherence to safety guidelines.

The NCOC meeting held in Islamabad today with Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar in the chair expressed serious concern over rising disease trend and mortality rate.

The Forum urged the masses to once again display a good example of social behaviour and follow the SOPs in letter and spirit.

Earlier this week, the President of Pakistan and First Lady Samina Alvi also took shots of COVID-19 vaccine doses in Islamabad.

President Dr. Arif Alvi along with his wife Samina Arif Alvi reached Tarlai Vaccination Center for COVID-19 vaccine doses.

Coronavirus Situation in Pakistan

It should be noted here that Pakistan during the last 24 hours recorded 61 deaths related to the novel coronavirus and 3,495 infections.

According to the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) the total number of deaths from coronavirus in Pakistan has reached 13,717 while the total number of infected people jumped to 615,810. Whereas the active cases toll is 24,592. So far, 577,501 people have recovered from Coronavirus.

The highest number of deaths due to coronavirus was recorded in Punjab where 5,896 people lost their lives whereas Sindh recorded 4,469 deaths, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reported 2,188 deaths, 531 deaths reported in Islamabad, 103 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 202 in Balochistan and 328 in Azad Kashmir.
