Supreme Court of Pakistan on Wednesday conducted a hearing on a case pertaining to re-polling in National Assembly (NA) constituency NA-75 Daska.

According to the details, Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) lawyer during the proceedings submitted details regarding aerial firing and brawl in the constituency on the polling day in the Supreme Court.

Previously, the Top Court had rejected PTI’s plea seeking suspension of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) decision regarding re-polling in NA-75 Daska.

It may be recalled that the Election Commission of Pakistan decided to reschedule the NA-75 Daska by-elections. According to the announcement made by the top electoral body, the by-polls will now take place on April 10, 2021.

On February 25, the Election Commission of Pakistan nullified by-election results and ordered re-polling in the entire constituency.

The ECP had withheld the results after 20 presiding officers in the constituency went missing for several hours and top officials of the district administration were unavailable to the commission to answer its queries.
