‘We will continue to perform duties regardless of any pressure,’ Chairman NAB

Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Justice (R) Javed Iqbal on Thursday said that anti-graft body will continue to perform its duties in accordance with the Constitution and the law, regardless of any pressure or intimidation.

According to the details, a meeting of the Executive Board was held under the chairmanship of Chairman NAB in which 12 inquiries including former Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Hafeez-ur-Rehman and former City Nazim Quetta Maqbool Ahmed were approved.

Addressing the meeting, the NAB chairman said that accountability watchdog continued to perform its duties in accordance with the constitution and law without any pressure or intimidation. Therefore, “critics of NAB are advised to spend their time on references filed in the accountability courts.”
