Pakistan registered 103 deaths due to the coronavirus during the period of last 24 hours.
According to the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) 3,953 fresh infections were reported during the period.
According to the NCOC, the total count of active cases was recorded at 63,102 and the positivity rate stood at 8.47 per cent.
The health facilities across the country conducted 46,665 coronavirus detection tests, taking the total number of COVID-19 tests to 10,493,362 since the first case was reported.
After the fresh infections and reported deaths, the overall death toll has hit 14,924 with 696,184 confirmed cases.

On the other hand, the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on National Health Services Dr. Faisal Sultan has said that vaccination process is underway smoothly.
Talking to media after inauguration of a vaccination center in Tarlai area of Islamabad, he said vaccination for youth will be started in phases. The Special Assistant appealed the public to follow the SOPs to contain the spread of COVID-19.
The Special Assistant, in addition to this, also asked all the registered citizens to get their vaccination done at their respective centers. He said till now nine hundred thousand people have been vaccinated.
