An intense heatwave will remain in Karachi as the temperature is expected to reach 40 to 42 degrees Celsius today (Saturday).
According to the met department, the temperature could be between 39 and 41 degrees on Sunday in the city. The southwesterly winds of the ocean can be interrupted during the day during the heatwave.
The minimum temperature recorded today morning was 21 degrees Celsius. Currently, the humidity in the air is 40 percent. The weather will be clear but there is no chance of rain. Northeast winds are blowing in the city at a speed of 10 km per hour.
On the other hand, Sea breezes will be restored in the city from today evening and the temperature will start to decrease.

Dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, temperatures in Sindh and southern Balochistan are likely to be higher than normal today.
Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country. A westerly wave is likely to approach western and upper parts of the country from Sunday(evening/night) and may persist in upper parts till Thursday (morning).
Weather will remain hot and dry in most parts of the country on Sunday. However, rain-wind-thunderstorm is expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, Kashmir and surrounding hilly areas during evening/night hours.
