Council of Common Interests (CCI) meeting will be held on Wednesday (today). The meeting will be chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The 11-point agenda will be discussed in the meeting. The agenda includes the approval of the notification for the release of the census results, 2017.
The implementation of the decisions taken at the previous meeting will also be reviewed in the meeting.
On the other hand, amendments to the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) ordinance will also be considered.
Above all, the council will also discuss matters of higher education amid the 18th amendment and the import of LNG.
Prime Minister Imran Khan will lead Pakistan’s delegation to the 10th D8 Summit being hosted by Bangladesh in virtual format on 8 April.
According to Foreign Office (FO), Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi will attend the 19th Council of Ministers meeting that will precede the Summit.
The theme of the Summit is “Partnership for a Transformative World: Harnessing Power of Youth and Technology.”
The Summit will be attended by Heads of States/Governments of eight D-8 Member States including Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Turkey and Pakistan.
