Prime Minister Imran Khan’s day-long visit to Gilgit-Baltistan has been postponed on Monday (today).
As per the details, his visit has been delayed due to bad weather condition.
PM Khan was visiting GB to announce various development projects.
Clean energy, transport, communication, health, infrastructure, water supply, sanitation, and tourism sector schemes were included in the development plan.
In addition to this, PM Khan was supposed to address the people of Gilgit-Baltistan today.
Earlier in March, Prime Minister Imran Khan approved a historic development package for Gilgit-Baltistan.
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Media Office, a high-level meeting on the development of Gilgit-Baltistan was held under the chairmanship of Imran Khan.
The meeting was attended by Planning Minister Asad Umar, Finance Minister Muhammad Hamad Azhar, Communications Minister Murad Saeed, Information Technology Minister Aminul Haq, Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid, Deputy Chairman Planning Commission and other senior officials.
Approving the historic package for the development of Gilgit-Baltistan, the Prime Minister said that thanks to development projects in various sectors, a new chapter of construction and development would be lit in the region, effective solution to the region’s problems and job creation for the youth. Opportunities will also come.
