President Arif Alvi will chair a virtual meeting regarding the implementation of standard operating procedures to limit the spread of coronavirus during the month of Ramadan.
The meeting will begin at 11:00 am today. All provincial governors, the President of Azad Kashmir, and clerics will take part in the meeting through a video link.
All ministers of education and health will attend the meeting at National Command and Operation Centre in Islamabad on Tuesday to decide whether education institutions should be closed.
Federal education minister Shafqat Mahmood tweeted that the health and education authorities of the country will take a collective decision on educational institutions in the wake of the third wake of Covid-19.

Earlier in March, President Dr Arif Alvi tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
Taking to Twitter, the President wrote, “I have tested positive for Covid-19. May Allah have mercy on all Covid affectees. Had 1st dose of vaccine،but antibodies start developing after 2nd dose that was due in a week. Please continue to be careful.”
