The Sindh government has on Monday (today) announced new timings for public offices during Ramadan-ul-Mubarak, likely to commence from April 14.
The provincial administration has issued a notification in this regard.
As per the notification, public offices working from Monday to Friday will run from 10 am to 4 am for the first four weekdays and will close down at 1 pm on Friday due to Jumma prayers.
Previously, the Federal government had issued new timings for government offices during the holy month.
According to the official circular by the Establishment Division, the working hours in government offices of Islamabad during Ramadan will be from 10 am to 4 pm from Monday to Thursday, whereas on Fridays the timings will be from 10 am to 1 pm.
Moreover, for the Ramadan moon sighting in Pakistan, a meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will take place on Tuesday (tomorrow).
According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, the moon sighting committee’s chairman Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad will chair the meeting in Peshawar.
