India Strengthens Anti-Pakistan Factions In Afghanistan: DG ISPR

DG ISPR Maj. Gen. Babar Iftikhar said the Afghan vice president’s allegations about the Pakistan Air Force’s operation in Afghanistan were baseless adding that Pakistan did not take any action in Afghanistan and no one’s land should be used against us.

Talking to a private TV channel, Director General (DG) of Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Babar Iftikhar said that Pakistan Army is keeping a close watch on the situation in the region.

He said that if there is tension in Afghanistan, it will affect Pakistan adding that peaceful Afghanistan will also have an impact on Pakistan.

He said that if the situation in Afghanistan deteriorates, there is a danger of reactivation of terrorists and sleeper cells in Pakistan.

The Pakistan Army spokesman said that Pakistan has not spared any effort in the peace process in Afghanistan, we are not the guarantor of peace in Afghanistan, this decision is to be made by the Afghan parties, we have prepared a lot for the future situation.

Major General Babar Iftikhar said that Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa is working hard according to his vision, fence work on the western border is in full swing, hundreds of posts have been constructed. A modern biosystem has been installed. Illegal crossing points have been sealed, FC capacity has been enhanced, police and levies personnel have been trained by the Pakistan Army in Balochistan and the former tribal areas.

He said that the focus of the region was on the peace process in Afghanistan and extremist groups in Balochistan could also be strengthened. Terrorists can be reactivated in Balochistan, security measures have been taken for the country and the nation. Peaceful Afghanistan will also benefit Pakistan the most. Terrorist groups are feared to reactivate in Afghanistan, we will not let our sacrifices go in vain.

DG ISPR said that we have fought a long war against terrorism, 90% fence has been erected on Pak-Afghan border, we have built a very comprehensive Hanso system, fencing is also underway on Pak-Iran border.

The Pakistan Army spokesman said that the recent terrorist incidents in Pakistan are related to the situation in Afghanistan, there is no infrastructure of organized terrorists in Pakistan, terrorists are sitting in Afghanistan, they have the support of India, Pakistan forces repression of anti-national elements. The country is not ready to allow the enemies to succeed in any way, while fighting the terrorists, our soldiers were also martyred.

Major General Babar Iftikhar said that India is supporting anti-Pakistan factions in Afghanistan adding that India has invested billions of dollars in Afghanistan to harm Pakistan.

“India has a fear of sinking billions of dollars, which makes them even more anxious. In November 2020, Pakistan made a dossier against India which Pakistan had given to the world. In which there is all the evidence that India is carrying out terrorism in Pakistan, he said.

In response to a question about Kurram district, he said that 10 abducted workers were released by terrorists, one dead body was found, during the operation last week, we had rescued the remaining workers. ۔ Abdul Basit and Hazrat Bilal were martyred. An operation is underway to rescue the remaining people.
