Pakistan has formally informed Afghanistan that it has conducted a full investigation into the alleged abduction of the daughter of the Afghan ambassador from Islamabad, according to which the complainant did not fully report the incident.
The alleged abduction of the Afghan ambassador’s daughter came to light on July 16.
According to the report, the Afghan delegation visited Islamabad in connection with the complaint of the daughter of the Afghan ambassador, Silsala Ali Khel, in which she met with law enforcement agencies and Foreign Ministry officials.
According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office, the delegation was informed that law enforcement agencies conducted a thorough and detailed investigation into the complaint and after comprehensive testimony concluded that the ground facts did not corroborate the complainant’s report.
This is further proved by the technical evidence.
Relevant Pakistani authorities have once again requested additional information, evidence and access to the complainant on some aspects of the case, the statement said.
Foreign Office spokesman Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry said the Afghan delegation was given a detailed briefing on all aspects of the investigation.
He rejected Indian media reports alleging that Pakistan wanted to send so-called terrorists to India through the Line of Control (LoC).
“We categorically reject the baseless allegations that Pakistan wanted to send ‘terrorists’ through the LOC,” he said.
