Jordanian Envoy Thanks Naval Chief For PNS Zulfiquar’s Recent Participation

Ambassador of Jordon in Pakistan Ibrahim Almadani called on Naval Chief Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi in Islamabad today (Wednesday).

The Jordanian Envoy appreciated the Pakistan Navy for the recent participation of PNS Zulfiquar in Jordan’s centennial celebrations.

Also, during the meeting, matters of mutual interest and maritime security in the region were discussed.

The two sides reiterated the resolve to strengthen the bilateral relations.

Both the dignitaries reiterated the commitment to further enhance bilateral relations between the two countries.

Earlier, Pakistan Navy ship PNS Zulfiquar had returned to operational deployment after a successful visit to Saint Petersburg Russia participated in the 325th Russian Navy Day Parade.

According to the DGPR Navy, during the ship stay, Mission Cdr & CO called on Cdr Leningrad Naval Base & Deputy Governor External Relations.

During the meetings, matters of mutual interest were discussed. The dignitaries expressed goodwill & warmth for PN and thanked for its participation in the Russian Navy Day Parade. Mission Cdr also conveyed well wishes from CNS Adm Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi for the people of Russia.

Previously, PNS Zulfiquar had reached Russia as part of its overseas deployment (OSD) and participated in a bilateral naval exercise.

The spokesman of the Pakistan Navy said that on arrival at the Russian port of St. Petersburg, the host navy and Pakistani diplomatic officials received the ship of the Pakistan Navy.

Senior naval officials, diplomats and local dignitaries, the Pakistani community were also present on the occasion.

A spokesman for the Pakistan Navy said that the audience was briefed on the role of the Pakistan Navy in maritime security in the region and that PNS Zulfiqar would also participate in Russia’s Navy Day Parade.

The Pakistan Navy spokesman added that the visit of the Pakistani ship would further enhance bilateral maritime cooperation.
