PNS Zulfiquar visits Jeddah port
Pakistan Navy Ship (PNS) Zulfiquar has visited the Jeddah Port in Saudi Arabia, reported Radio Pakistan on Thursday.
A Pakistan Navy spokesperson said that the ship was “warmly welcomed” by the Saudi navy and Pakistani diplomats at the port.
The state broadcaster reported that the Saudi commander western fleet command and commander western naval aviation group visited the ship during its stay at the port. They added that the Saudi officials were briefed by PNS Zulfiquar’s mission commander and commanding officer. They also discussed matters of mutual interest.
The mission commander, on behalf of Pakistan Navy chief Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi, conveyed a message of good gesture to the Saudi navy and people.
PNS Zulfiquar returns to operational deployment
Last month, PNS Zulfiquar returned to operational deployment after a successful visit to Saint Petersburg where the frigate participated in the 325th Russian Navy Day Parade.
During the ship’s stay at St Petersburg, the mission commander and commanding officer had med Commander Leningrad Naval Base Captain Saloshin Andrev and Deputy Governor External Relations Evgeny D Grigoriev.
