PIA cancels today's flight operations for Kabul

Pakistan International Airlines has cancelled today’s Kabul flight operations due to new orders from Afghan authorities to stop the evacuation of locals.

According to PIA spokesman Abdullah Khan, all three flights to Kabul have been cancelled today.

According to pre-arranged lists, aviation sources say Afghan authorities are not allowing locals to leave Kabul, which could lead to difficulties boarding passengers.

A PIA spokesman said the airline had cancelled all flights to Kabul Pitoday, while an announcement on tomorrow’s flights would be made later.

It should be noted that according to the announcement made by PIA yesterday, 3 flights were to go to Kabul for flight operation today. Two Boeing 777s and one Airbus 320 aircraft were ready for this operation.

The evacuation of foreigners trapped in Kabul has been accelerating since the Taliban took control of Afghanistan.

Air force planes from different countries, including the United States, continue to fly from Kabul to different countries. Two special UN planes also flew to Pakistan on Sunday to evacuate foreigners including UN members, from Kabul.

According to aviation sources, the UN special flight UNO 201, which took off from Hamid Karzai International Airport Kabul, landed at Islamabad International Airport at 11:08 a.m. on Sunday.

The second flight of the same company, UNO 202, landed in Islamabad at 11:24 AM.

According to aviation sources, Turkish Air Force special flights are also continuing between Kabul and Islamabad.

The Royal Air Force is conducting an operation from Kabul to Dubai. Royal Australian Air Force planes are also coming and going from Kabul to Dubai, while a Spanish Air Force plane is also operating between the UAE and Kabul.
