Prime Minister Imran Khan will pay a one-day visit to Bahawalpur today (Wednesday).
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, the Prime Minister will meet the leadership of South Punjab in Bahawalpur. Besides, the Prime Minister will be given a detailed briefing on the performance of the active South Punjab Secretariat and development projects in the Bahawalpur Division.
Later, the Prime Minister will attend the Farmers Convention as a special guest under the government’s vision of focusing on agriculture, where he will inaugurate not only increased production in South Punjab but also projects to help farmers.
The Prime Minister will also address the ceremony. The Prime Minister will plant trees in Lal Sohanra National Park in connection with the ongoing massive tree-planting drive in the country and will also review the latest technology for forest protection there.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived in Karachi on a one-day visit, accompanied by Zubaida Jalal and Asad Umar.
In Karachi, Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated the Shiplift and Transfer System and said that with this system Pakistan will be able to generate foreign exchange.
He also announced the planting of mangroves on an additional 12,000 acres in Lasbela.
Pakistan is the only country in the world where the number of mangroves has increased.
The day before yesterday, Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated the world’s largest Miyawaki Urban Forest in Lahore.
On this occasion, he said that the sea has risen due to global warming, Pakistan is taking steps against global warning more than its status. Miyawaki plants are great for reducing pollution.
