Pakistan logs lowest Covid-19 cases since Oct 2020

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan recorded 554 fresh COVID-19 infections in a day, the lowest daily rise since October 2020, according to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) ‘s data on Wednesday.

On October 18, 2020, the country had logged 440 Covid-19 cases.

The death toll climbed to 28,312 with 12 more fatalities. Pakistan has so far reported 1,266,204 Covid cases, the data stated.

The number of people who have recuperated from the pandemic surged to 1,212,687, while the 28,312 people have succumbed to the disease, said NCOC, the department leading Pakistan’s campaign against the pandemic.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday Pakistan reported 554 new coronavirus cases out of 42,126 tests conducted during the last 24 hours, with a positivity ratio of 1.31 per cent, the NCOC data showed.
