LAHORE: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Monday nabbed six suspected terrorists during operations in different cities of Punjab.

Acting on tip-offs, the Counter-Terrorism Department Punjab conducted 29 operations in various cities, Bol News reported.

During the operation, CTD arrested six individuals who reportedly belonged to different terror groups.

The arrested terrorists have been identified as Sagheer Hussain, Abdul Jabbar, Sufyan, Karim Bakhsh, Zeeshan Ali and Syed Jaffer.

Earlier on November 19, one alleged robber was killed and another arrested during an encounter with police near Defence Central Library in the DHA Phase-II area in Karachi.

Defence police station officials had said when they signalled the suspects to stop at Punjab Chowrangi, they fled. The suspects opened fire on police officials when they followed them, they had said. Police had said when they opened fire in response to the robbers’ attack, one was killed and another got arrested.

Police had recovered weapons and a motorcycle from their possession.

The dead suspect, identified as Abdul Rehman, was shifted to the hospital for medico-legal formalities. The arrested suspect has been identified as Muhammed Aali.
