LAHORE: PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb lashed out at the government on Thursday for the deepening energy crisis in the country.
The PML-N leader, in a tweet, stated that under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif, the government had managed to eradicate the energy crisis while the incumbent government has only made false claims to the masses.
Sharing pictures of long queues at petrol pumps, Aurangzeb said that country is witnessing painful, disturbing and embarrassing scenes of Naya Pakistan.

The criticisim comes as the government struggles to keep the supply of both oil and gas smooth across the country.
Many major cities including Karachi, Hyderabad, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur, Gujranwala, Peshawar, Quetta are facing low gas pressure and hours-long load-shedding.
On the other hand, following a call for nationwide strike from the Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association (PPDA), petrol pumps across the country have shut down.
Panic gripped commuters as long queues were seen outside petrol stations.
Taking serious notice of entities striving to disrupt oil supplies at petrol pumps, OGRA on Wednesday advised All Oil Marketing Companies to ensure uninterrupted supply at retail outlets.
“Enforcement teams are infield to ensure the same,” OGRA said in a statement.
It further stated that anyone involved in oil disruptions causing public inconvenience shall be dealt with strictly in accordance with OGRA laws.
APPPDA called for the strike after the government showed reluctance in increasing the dealers’ margin by six per cent.

APPPDA announced that petrol pumps across the country, including Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, amid the disagreement on dealers’ margin.
The central leader of APPPDA Majid Ansari while announcing the countrywide strike said that there will be no negotiations with the government till their demand were met.
