PPP all set to stage sit-ins against inflation across Sindh on Dec 10

KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is all set to launch its sit-ins against spiraling inflation across Sindh from December 10.

The party has released a schedule of the sit-ins to be held in cities and towns across the province.

PPP President Sindh Chapter Nisar Khuhro, in a press release issued on Thursday, said that under the directives of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, these protest sit-ins are being organised across the province and claimed that millions of people will participate in these demonstrations and record their protests against unbridled inflation and cruel policies of the federal government.

As per the schedule released by the party, former Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Sherry Rehman, Saeed Ghani, Waqas Mehdi, Syed Nasir Shah, Saleem Mandiwala and Javaid Naghori will lead a protest sit-in at Empress Market in Karachi on Friday.

Simultaneously, PPP Sindh Chapter Nisar Khuhro, Aajig, Sagheer Qureshi along with the party local leaders and workers in Hyderabad will stage a sit-in at Wadhau Wah at 3pm on Friday.  While in Hyderabad rural, a demonstration and sit-in to be led by PPP leader Sharjeel Memon, MNA Tariq Shah, Peer Amjad and Mir Sher Mohammad will be held on Tando Jam Main Road.

Whereas Khursheed Shah, Anwar Mehar, Owais Qadir Shah and Noman Islam Shaikh will head the sit-in in in Sukkur.

In Shaheed Benazirabad at Keerio Pump, Sakrand Bypass on National Highway, party leader Ghulam Qadir Chandio and Ali Akbar Jamali and workers will stage the protest sit-in.

Meanwhile, Hari Ram Kishwari Lal, Mir Munawwar Talpur and Peer Aftab Shah in Mirpurkhas will hold a sit-in at Mirpurkhas Bypass while in Larkana at Shaikh Ziad Chawk, Qambar Busstop, a protest sit-in will be headed by City District President Khair Mohammad Shaikh. However, in four Tehsils of Larkana district, demonstrations will also be staged to record the against the rising dearness.

PPP Senator Sassi Palejo and Ismail Raho Ramzan Chandio along with the party activists will hold a protest sit-in at Peer Chawk, Badin Bypass.

In all cities and towns including Mirpur Matheelo, Naushero Firauz, Sanghar, Umar Kot, Sajjawal, Jamshoro, Tando Mohammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, the local leaderships and activists will organise protest sit-ins in their respective places.
