On March 29, Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar had said former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was the principal character in the foreign conspiracy against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

“There is no doubt that Nawaz Sharif is a main character of the conspiracy as he meets with the foreign intelligence agencies officials, while senior leadership of the Pakistan Democratic Movement is also aware of the matter,” Asad Umar had said this while talking to media in Islamabad. He was flanked by Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain.

He had said PM Imran Khan had received a threatening letter which he was ready to show to the chief justice of Pakistan. The letter clearly mentioned of the no-confidence motion, he added.

The writer of the letter wrote that if the no-trust motion failed against Imran Khan then it could have disastrous consequences, the planning minister had said.

“Content of the letter is directly linked with the foreign policy of Pakistan. Foreign hands and no-confidence motion are interlinked,” he had said adding that the letter had only been shared with the top military brass.
