SIALKOT: Federal Minister for Aviation & Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique on Saturday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e Insaf'(PTI)’s attempt to hold a public gathering in a church-owned ground in Sialkot against the will of the Christian community is a despicable attempt to suppress minorities.

The Minister wrote on Twitter that the administration is ready to accommodate but using someone’s private property without their consent is bullying, not democracy.

Ahead of the PTI meeting in Sialkot, the administration booked several party leaders including Usman Dar early today.

As reported by Bol News, the police did shelling and baton-charged the PTI activists.

The PTI activists and leaders have been apprehended for choosing CTI Ground which, according to the administration, is a private property owned by the minority community.

PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz has praised the administration’s action and shared a video in which the DPO was restricting the PTI workers to hold a public gathering at the venue.

Usman Dar after the arrest issued a video message from the prison van saying that Imran Khan will definitely come to Sialkot today adding that putting him in jail will not lessen the love for Imran Khan.

Note that after the Christian community objected to the PTI’s scheduled Jalsa at their land, the Sialkot district administration declined PTI’s request to conduct a rally at the CTI ground.
