Edhi official said that after Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman announced today’s long march, the administration of twin cities has even closed roads for ambulances. The federal government started sealing all the exit and entrance points of Punjab by placing containers on the main entries in an attempt to obstruct the Azadi March.

While briefing the whole situation Edhi official said that patients were not able to reach hospitals as ambulances weren’t allowed to pass. He asked the administration of Rawalpindi and Islamabad to regulate the routes in case of emergency. He said that hundreds of ambulances are available at their respective points.

On the other hand, Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) issued a traffic plan to facilitate the public ahead of PTI’s march to the federal capital. The authorities have set up tight security measures across Islamabad’s sensitive points. The law enforcement agencies will also conduct security checks on the people travelling to or from Islamabad

However, Bol News reported that Punjab Police resorted to tear gas shelling at the PTI rally led by Dr Yasmin Rashid. As per details Police contingents have taken a position in the province and were given instructions to shell tear gas on PTI activists. Party activists were instructed to gather at Lahore’s Bhatti chowk to proceed towards Islamabad for the march.
