Teenage TikToker shot dead in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: An 18-year-old TikToker named Nayab was shot dead by unidentified men in Faisalabad, BOL News reported.

The incident took place in Millat Town where the victims was riding on a motorcycle along with his brother when unidentified men intercepted them over a robbery attempt.

Upon resistance, the armed men allegedly opened fire. As a result, Nayab was shot while his brother remained unhurt. Nayab succumbed to his wounds and passed away. His body was later shifted to a local hospital.

Police officials said an investigation has started to ascertain the facts which reveals it was not a incident of robbery.

Police said the victim’s family told police that Nayab had gone with his brother to give money to his friend, but were allegedly intercepted by street criminals who shot him dead while stealing his phone.

A protest was held outside the police station over the killing of the teenage TikToker. The demonstrators placed the dead body on the road and demonstrated against the police.

The protestors burnt tires and blocked Millat Road for traffic while raising slogans against the police. They said that more than ten hours have passed but police has not taken against steps against the killers.

The protestors alleged that police kept the victim’s brother Taimur in illegal custody. They said the protestors will continue until their demands are met and killers are arrested.

They said that instead of taking action against the accused, the police is threatening the victim’s relatives. They demanded that Punjab Chief Minister and senior officials should take notice and provide justice.
