KARACHI: Anti-Narcotic Force (ANF) raided on courier office located on Korangi Road and recovered a large quantity of crystal meth being sent abroad.
The anti-narcotics agency foiled an attempt to smuggle crystal meth to Australia and London through a private courier company and seize the shipment.
An ANF spokesperson said the drugs were concealed in two parcels containing curtains and women’s clothing. The total weight of the parcels was 27 kg, the spokesperson said.
The ANF recovered a parcel containing 23.4 kg of crystal meth, while another parcel contained 3.4kg of the drugs set to be shipped to Australia.
ANF filed a case has been filed against the smuggler under the anti-narcotics act and started an investigation.
In another incident, ANF seized 2.4 kg of crystal meth from an absconder in Rawalpindi old airport. while the force recovered seven cannabis-filled capsules at Bacha Khan International airport, Peshawar.
Earlier his month, the Anti-Narcotics Force seized 2.68 kilograms of crystal ice from a Qatar-bound passenger at Karachi airport.
According to details, the ANF foiled a smuggling attempt at Jinnah Airport, Karachi. The accused was trying to smuggle the drugs in a jam bottle to Qatar before he was arrested.
