Dania Shah moves court for bail in obscene video case

KARACHI: Host Aamer Liaquat’s third wife Dania Shah approached the court for bail in a case filed against her for sharing an obscene video of her husband – who died earlier this year in June.

Dania Shah was arrested from Lodharan as Aamer Liaquat’s daughter Dua Aamer submitted an application against the former for sharing an objectionable video of her father – Aamer Liaquat.

The petition submitted that the case filed against her is fake rebuffing the claims of sharing the video.

Lawyer of Dania Shah, Liaquat Gabu, said that the host had no complaints with his third wife and the case has been forged to deprive her of her right to inheritance.

The court sought an answer from Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in this regard and the hearing was adjourned till December 20.

Pertinently, Shah was arrested from Lodhran and was shifted to Karachi after the complaint made by Dua Aamer.

The FIA has registered an FIR under Section 20, 21 and 24 of the PICA Ordinance 2016 and has arrested the accused Dania from Lodhran after the important evidence came to light after the investigation.

The mother of Dania said that she is unaware of the whereabouts of her daughter and claimed that they were being penalized for pursuing an inheritance claim.
