KARACHI: In a late-night development, Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori meets the Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) Chief Mustafa Kamal and offered to unite all factions of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on a single platform for the sake of Karachi.

The meeting was held at the Pakistan House which is the secretariat of the PSP. The offer was made that the merger would take place under the leadership of MQM Convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui.

“Sindh is ours. Pakistan is ours. We have to come forward and support each other,” said Tessori during the meeting and added that the factions should keep aside their grievances to solve the problems of the port city.

“We need to make a resolve that we will do things that were not done by the state.”

The meeting discussed that the people of Karachi have been braving long hours of load shedding, gas shortage, traffic issues and loss of infrastructure while the governor raised a question on the progress of the political party in this regard.

On the other hand, Mustafa Kamal while welcoming the governor said that his party is ready to work with anyone for the city.

“The city is a cradle of peace now, there is our part in it and we want to take it farther,” he added.

“Karachi is the economic vanguard of the country and Karachi will help steer the country out of economic woes.”
Pertinently, a delegation of MQM-P led by Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui met the Sindh governor earlier yesterday.

However, no date has been announced by the parties for the merger so far.
