Punjab Assembly Speaker Muhammad Sibtain Khan has written a letter to the President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi against the illegal action and misconduct of Punjab Governor Baligh Ur Rehman.

The speaker in the letter highlighted the unconstitutional acts of the governor and requested the President to stop him, who is his representative, from taking illegal measures and remove him from the office.

The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has also confirmed the decision of the Punjab Assembly Speaker and informed that the letter would be written to the President today.

The political tempatutre in the province is increasing with the passage of every moment and the situation is changing very rapidly throughout the day.

Meanwhile, son of Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi, Monis Elahi tweeted that he has reached to the Chief Minister House and taunted the Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah when he is coming to the CM House to seal it.

It is pertinent to mention here that Rana threatened on Tuesday that if Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi did not take the vote of confidence tomorrow from the provincial assembly so the CM House would be sealed.

Monis further said that everything is under the control in the province.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) called separate parliamentary party meetings.

The meeting called by PML-Q was led by Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Pervaiz Elahi that was attended by ten members of the assembly.

During the meeting, members of PML-Q have expressed their confidence in Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.

On the other hand, a meeting of the parliamentary party of Tehreek-e-Insaf has been held, in which all the members have expressed confidence in Punjab Chief Minister.

The members vowed that no illegal and unconstitutional steps would be tolerated by the Punjab Governor and anyone else.

Pertinently, PLM-N and PPP had submitted a no-confidence motion against CM Punjab and Speaker Punjab Assembly and a session has been summoned by Governor Punjab in this regard.
