Police arrested accused involved in murder of NED student  

• The police said that the accused was arrested from Jamali Goth Superhighway area.
• The suspected identified as Nizam.
• Over 100 citizens were killed by robbers during robbery resistance this year so far.

KARACHI: The Karachi police have arrested an accused who killed NED University student Bilal Nasir over robbery resistance.

The police said that the accused was arrested from Jamali Goth Superhighway area of Karachi and identified as Nizam.

The accused has been jailed many times before. Police have also recovered a weapon from the possession of the suspect.

The suspect was arrested with help of CCTV cameras and eye witnesses. The second accused was also identified and raids are underway arrest.

It should be noted over 100 citizens were killed by robbers during robbery resistance this year so far.

Earlier, student of NED University was gunned down by street criminals when he resisted to mobile snatching attempt at University Road.

Bol News reported that university student Bilal Nasir, aged 21, was sitting at a hotel situated opposite the university main gate when two armed men on motorcycle came and tried to snatch his mobile phone.

Bilal tried to hit the robbers with a chair as he was with his friends at a tea-spot near the university. The victim was a final-year student doing petroleum engineering at NED University of engineering and technology.

The criminals fired two shots at Bilal when he offered resistance, resultantly he died on the spot.

According to the police, the robbers had already snatched cell phones from other NED students at the time of crime. They easily ran away after committing crime.
