Ready to pay for forensic of audio associated with me: Zulfi Bukhari

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) leader Sayed Zulfi Bukhari on Thursday said he was ready to pay money for forensic of the audio being associated with him on Twitter.

An audio clip is doing rounds on social media in which wife of PTI Chairman Imran Khan allegedly asks Zulfi Bukhari to sell Imran Khan’s watches as they were not in use.

Repudiating the claim, in a tweet, the PTI leader said even college students could make such cut-copy-paste audio. “Its forensic should be done immediately, I am ready to pay its money from my pocket,” he said.

“Earlier, it was being said that the watches were sold to a person named Umar Zahoor through Farah Gujjar. When a legal notice was sent to him, now a new story has come out that actually these watches were sold through me. I neither bought nor sold them,” he tweeted.

On November 1, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had summoned PTI Chairman Imran Khan in the investigation pertaining to the audio leak regarding the diplomatic cypher.

The former prime minister had been directed to appear at the FIA headquarters in Islamabad on November 2.

The federal agency had again summoned PTI Vice Chairman and senior party leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi to appear in the investigation. He had been asked to appear on November 3.

The FIA Counter Terrorism Wing had asked him to appear on November 1 at the FIA head office but he didn’t appear.

The agency was investigating the audio leaks allegedly featuring Imran Khan and other PTI leaders in a discussion about a diplomatic cypher. Imran Khan had claimed the cypher was used as a conspiracy to oust him from power.
