  • A five-member larger bench headed by Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandial will hear case on December 2 (tomorrow) which will consist of Justice Ijazul Ahsan, Justice Munib Akhtar, and Justice Yahya Afridi.
  • Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi will also be part of the five-member bench.
  • The court has also issued notices to the parties in the case.

ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) has fixed the contempt of court case against former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.

A five-member larger bench headed by Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandial will hear case on December 2 (tomorrow) including Justice Ijazul Ahsan, Justice Munib Akhtar, and Justice Yahya Afridi.

Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi will also be part of the five-member bench.

The court has also issued notices to the parties in the case.

Earlier, former prime minister and PTI chairman Imran Khan submitted his response to the Supreme Court (SC) in a contempt case.

“I respect the judiciary but am unaware of the assurance given by the PTI leadership on my behalf to the court”, Khan said in his response.

It may be noted that the government moved the apex court against Imran Khan for violating the SC’s direction regarding his earlier sit-in in Islamabad.
