SIALKOT: The Sialkot International Airport will remain temporarily closed for 16 days due to repair works on the runway.
A notification by the Airport Manager said the airport will remain closed for major rehabilitation work on the runway from 9 AM on December 5 till December 20, 2022.
As a result, all domestic and international flights at the airport from December 5 to 20 will be rescheduled.
The airport manager has informed all the concerned airlines and the civil aviation authorities about the maintenance work. The Lahore and Islamabad airports will be used as alternative airports.
The rehabilitation work is being undertaken to improve the runway of the airport for better riding quality for planes and other issues.
The airport authorities had last month informed all relevant authorities about the closure of the airport to avoid inconvenience to passengers.
