Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf Chairman Imran Khan has accused PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari of giving money to a terrorist organisation to kill him, if anything happens to him, the four, who had earlier planned to eliminate him and Zardari are responsible for it.

He recalled that he had already informed about the conspiracy, which was made by the four, to assassinate him, adding he had recorded his video statement in which he revealed their names.

He expressed these views while addressing the nation and media through the video link from his Zaman Park’s residence in Lahore on Friday.

The former premier further said that after the failure of the Plan-A and B, they had made plan-C to kill him in the name of religious extremism but they had failed and now Asif Ali Zardari has given money stolen and looted from Sindh to a terrorist organisation to kill him.

“I got to know about it and then I recorded my video explaining the attack. In a public rally, I announced that I would release the video if something were to happen to me. They stepped back after this.”

Without naming anyone again, Khan said that another plan was made to have me killed by a religious extremist — indicating towards the November 3, 2022, Wazirabad attack, where he was shot in the legs and is still recovering from the injuries.

“Now, there’s a Plan C. Asif Zardari is behind this. He has amassed a lot of money through corruption and he has invested that money in terrorists and hired a militant organisation.”

Imran Khan claimed that “power agencies” were involved in this attempt. “I am [revealing] these names as my nation should know who were [behind] these attacks,” he said.

The ex-prime minister said that the nation should be aware of who was behind his assassination bid so “they cannot enjoy their lives after they have done this”.

“The nation is looking towards the judiciary as this is a decisive moment,” the PTI chief said, mentioning that since his ouster, several people have been unmasked.

As soon as the caretaker government in Punjab had come to power, they had shut the provincial JIT, probing murderous attack on him in Wazirabad and instituted a new JIT, to tarnish the facts and hide real culprits, he added.

A decisive moment has come as Pakistan is confronting a number of challenges and urged the people to come out to save the country, adding that the people had to prepare themselves to struggle to save theirs and their children’s future.

He further said that no one could get real independence by sitting at home, but they have to come to streets to get rid of slavery.
