Former prime minister and Tehreek-i-Insaaf Chairman Imran Khan has strongly appealed the judiciary, lawyer community and people of Pakistan to play their due role in saving the country and providing justice.

He urged the judiciary and lawyer community to come out to save the country, and also appealed the people of Pakistan to come out for the sake of their country and the future of their coming generation.

He expressed these views while addressing a press conference and the party workers and supporters through video link from his residence Zaman Park in Lahore on Wednesday.

He recalled that the State of Madina was founded on the base of justice, adding that after the establishment of justice, the Muslim society became prosperous and wealthy.

He further said that the country had been destroyed because of the injustice and dishonesty system.

He maintained that only judiciary can save the country and the future of the next generation.

He observed that a human society is that where a justice system prevail and where law is equal for the poor and the rich & the powerful and the weak.

He said that the PTI and the people of Pakistan are looking towards the judiciary for the provision of justice and protection of their fundamental rights.

He remarked that they had only two ways to get justice one is to go the judiciary or the other to take to streets.

He questioned why Azam Swat and Fawad Chaudhry had been arrested, adding they had been detained as they raised their voice against injustice.

He observed that an infidel system can survive but injustice system cannot survive.

He asked why his government had been toppled and thieves and corrupt people were imposed on the country.

The former premier recalled that the imported government came to power to end their corruption case not for providing relief to the people.

He further said that inflation had hit the people the worst, the middle class especially salaried class were suffering from hardest time.

He lambasted the controversial role of Election Commission of Pakistan and asked it on what grounds it had elected caretaker chief minister for Punjab Mohsin Naqvi despite his corrupt background and political proximity with Asif Ali Zardari.

He added that those police officers, who subjected the PTI leaders and workers to severe torture on May 25, are being appointed in the Punjab.

It is pertinent to mention here, PTI leader Fawad Chaurdhry was arrested from his residence earlier today after he publicly “threatened” the members of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in a media talk outside Imran Khan’s residence in Zaman Park on Tuesday.

PTI chief not only condemned his arrest by calling it a “witch-hunt” against his party but also accused Interim Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi of backing such actions against the party.

He asserted that Naqvi is not there to conduct the upcoming elections as a neutral supervisor as he was the one who “backed the regime change operation against PTI”.

Mohsin Naqvi just did what was expected of him after his appointment (as CM Punjab), he cherry-picked those police officers who tortured PTI workers (in the past),” said Imran Khan.

“Are such people going to conduct free and fair elections?,” questioned Imran Khan.

The PTI chief urged his party supporters to stop fearing “jails, trials and tribulations” and unite against the incumbent “imported government”, who he claimed is bent upon taking country towards “destruction” and “chaos”.

Imran Khan maintained that such “oppressive tactics” cannot force him to accept a government led by “crooks and thieves” and that he will fight such people “till his last breath”.

The PTI chief said that he has given 26 years of his politics in fight against such politicians “loot poor people of Pakistan” and “stash their wealth abroad” so that they can flee the country when needed.
