SARGODHA: A local court has suspended the order of the Deputy Commissioner for the closure of Sargodha Gymkhana Club for the members.
DC Sargodha Shoaib had banned the entry of the members in Gymkhana club as Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Senior Vice President and Chief Organizer Maryam Nawaz was going to stay there during her visit to the city.
The members had lodged a strong protest against the decision of the DC and approached the court.
The court dismissed the order of the DC and allowed the members to continue their activities in the Gymkhana club. The court observed that the club aims for the activities of business and social communities and it would not be allowed to become political arena.
The complainant Shahwaiz said that they had no objection to Maryam’s stay at Guest House. He also thanked the Bol News TV as it had become their voice and raised their issue in media.
A member of the Gymkhana club Mian Tariq said that they would not tolerate the ban on members’ entry and activities in the club.
He maintained that the Gymkhana club is not a political institution and appealed all to keep the facility away from politics.

He added that they would allow anyone to stop sports and other social activities in the club.
PML-N senior vice president and chief organiser Maryam Nawaz is on two-month-long visits to different parts of the country for reorganisation of the party, which began from Bahawalpur. She will address a workers’ conventions in all cities.
