LAHORE: The postmortem report of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) worker Ali Bilal – who was allegedly killed due to violence and brutality of Punjab police – has been completed.

The report – shared by King Edward Medical University – stated that Ali Bilal died of torture and there were signs of ill-treatment on his body.

Pertinently, the autopsy of the slain worker was carried out by the hospital’s forensic team last night.

On the other hand, a two-member committee of the Punjab Police has been formed to probe the killing.

The team will submit the report to the IG Punjab within three days after recording statements of the witnesses along with the CCTV footage of the incident.

The PTI activist allegedly died from violence and brutality by Punjab Police as the party attempted to take out a rally in Lahore.

Ali Bilal was present at the rally near Mall Road when police resorted to baton-charge and fired tear gas shells at the party workers.

Several PTI workers including Ali Bilal were arrested for violating the imposition of Section 144.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan has strongly condemned the killing of the party worker during the shelling and torture by Punjab Police.
