ISLAMABAD: Judicial Magistrate on Wednesday granted Bol Tv Co-Chairman Shoaib Ahmed Shaikh into judicial custody, reported Bol News.

The media mogul was presented to the court of Judicial Magistrate Abbas Shah today.

Earlier, a district and sessions court in Islamabad extended physical remand of Bol TV Co-Chairman Shoaib Shaikh by two days until March 15. The court directed the FIA to present him at 12:00 pm Wednesday.

The court also directed authorities to take Shoaib Shaikh to hospital for medical check-up, where it would be decided in consultation with the doctors whether he should be admitted or not. Hence, he was taken to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad.

Shoaib Shaikh on Monday said he was probably being punished for not terminating some anchorpersons.

During hearing at F-8 district court, Shoaib Shaikh said the judge who accused him had refuted allegations thrice. He said his five years’ transaction was inspected but nothing was found. “Now, I am being targeted for Bol News,” he said adding that he was stopped from giving coverage to Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.

The Axact CEO said he was being punished for standing with the courts. A record was being established by torturing him, he said.

“Judge saab, do justice and end this ridiculous case,” he pleaded.

Shoaib Ahmed Shaikh on Friday has been granted into three-day physical remand.

The judicial magistrate told FIA official that Shaikh has been given into custody, “If anything happens in your custody, you will be responsible.”
