Court approved a 14-day remand of him
ISLAMABAD: Judicial Magistrate on Wednesday granted Bol Tv Co-Chairman Shoaib Ahmed Shaikh into judicial custody, reported Bol News.
The media mogul was presented to the court of Judicial Magistrate Abbas Shah today.
At the outset of the hearing, the FIA team requested an extension in the physical remand of Shoaib Shaikh.
Court – while rejecting FIA’s demand – granted Shaikh into judicial custody for 14 days.
The court also inquired the FIA team regarding the investigation done so far in five days of physical remand. “Every day counts,” the magistrate remarked.
Moreover, the plea for medical examination of Shaikh has also been approved.
Meanwhile, Co-Chairman Bol News maintained before the court that the case against him was reopened because of BOL and also underscored, “Perhaps someone is angry with Bol’s policies.”
Notably, the media mogul is to file bail plea today.
Earlier, a district and sessions court in Islamabad extended the physical remand of Bol TV Co-Chairman Shoaib Shaikh by two days until March 15.
The court also directed authorities to take Shoaib Shaikh to hospital for medical check-up, where it would be decided in consultation with the doctors whether he should be admitted or not. Hence, he was taken to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad.
