ECP has summoned a meeting to review election preparations.
ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has summoned a session to discuss the preparations for elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Punjab.
According to the details, the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) will preside over this meeting and the stakeholders related to the elections will take part in the final consultations.
The Secretary of Finance and Interior Secretary will also attend the meeting.
On this occasion, the Secretary Election Commission will give a briefing on the preparations for the elections. The session will be informed that the elections of KP and Punjab will cost around 25 billion rupees.
In the meeting, the Election Commission will also give a briefing on the security plan for the elections, the Commission will also direct the Interior Secretary to make security arrangements for the polls.
It will also be asked during the meeting to provide Rangers and FC personnel for foolproof security.
Meanwhile, the defense secretary will be contacted to ensure the deployment of the army during the election and the interior ministry will be asked to ensure the provision of army, rangers and other law enforcement agencies.
