KARACHI: Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman Friday demanded the immediate release of BOL Tv Co-Chairman Shoaib Ahmed Shaikh.
Hafiz while condemning the arrest of Shaikh – that took place last night at Islamabad airport – said that the act is an example of fascism.
Terming it an unjustified act, JI chief said that making an arrest in a case for which there is no FIR is injustice.
Amir Jamaat-e-Islami says that there is anxiety among the employees after the arrest of the owner of the channel. “If something is according to the constitution and law, then it is right, but injustice in this way is cruelty.”
He also assures his support to the channel owner and the employees on this trying occasion.
