LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned wife of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi, on March 21 in the case pertaining to Toshakhana, Bol News reported.
The NAB team reached Zaman Park to deliver the notice to Bushra Bibi.
Sources said the NAB Rawalpindi had summoned Imran Khan on March 21 to grill him in foreign funding case.
On March 18, a court had deferred the hearing of the Toshakhana case against Imran Khan until March 30.
Additional District and Sessions Judge (ADSJ) Zafar Iqbal had also cancelled Imran Khan’s arrest warrants in the Toshakhana case after permitting him to return after marking his attendance outside the Islamabad Judicial Complex.
The hearing was adjourned till March 30 due to the chaos and violence as police had clashed with PTI workers. The court had accepted Imran Khan’s appearance and allowed him to leave after marking his attendance.
Imran Khan was set to appear in court where he was expected to be indicted in the Toshakahana case. However, the hearing could not be held as police had clashed with party workers outside the Judicial Complex.
Additional District and Sessions Judge (ADSJ) Zafar Iqbal had said the case hearing cannot be held due to the volatile situation outside the court. The judge had said the trial proceedings should be held in a smooth manner.
