ISLAMABAD: For the blessed month of Ramadan, Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has instructed the relevant authorities to ensure an uninterrupted power supply during Sehr and Iftar.

The ministry of energy has disclosed that the premier instructed to ensure the continuous supply of electricity during the Sehr and Iftar hours across the country.

The Ministry of Energy said that there will be zero load management one hour before and one hour after the hours of Suhar, while there will be zero load management one hour before and three hours after Iftar hours.

Not only this, the ministry has set up teams to address any complaints at the division and sub-division levels. Control rooms will also be functional for the uninterrupted power supply while additional transformers and trolleys will be available in case of transformer failure.

Pertinently, Ramadan is likely to begin in Pakistan on March 23 (Thursday) as the meteorological department has said that there are high chances of moon-sighting today due to clear weather.

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal is sitting today in Peshawar to announce the beginning of Ramadan in Pakistan.
