Ready to assist Imran Khan in legal proceedings: Aitzaz Ahsan

• He said police shelling also affected his house and car.
• He further said the tear gas affected the residences of Zaman Park.
• Aitzaz Ahsan said that PTI should approach to court against operation.

LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader and Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan has said that he will support Imran Khan in legal proceedings.

Talking to the media in Lahore at Zaman Park, Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan said that the impact of stone pelting and shelling by the police has also affected his house and the car has also been damaged.

He said that the police not only came to Imran Khan’s house but also to his house. He further said the grill of the wall of his house was broken with a crane. He announced that “I am going to take action against these policemen and those who ordered them.”

He further said that the tear gas used by the police has affected the residences of Zaman Park all along, but “I have come to tell the workers to live peacefully and not to take the law into their own hands.”

Aitzaz Ahsan said, “whatever damage has been done due to the police, we will get it repaired and if my house has also been attacked, I will also support them in this matter.”

He said that there were no female police officers present with the police and LEA had come to attack, whereas in the constitution and the law, conducting a search operation in this way is a violation of the law.
